SUBURBAN HOSTAGE: Sterile Sanity, Artificially Tethered

HELP!!
HVAC,
you stab in the back;
In (sub)urban fox hole,
you challenge the soul

Prisoner of climate,
let us rethink,
life is finite

Transport us to place,
where wind
blows air in our face
and drywall bars
give way to freedom

B.

Prisoners of HVAC,
soul in a cage,
trying to fly out
from suburbia's rage

Cocktail of social media and humidity,
as if immersed in bath;
'Tis an achievement
to have taken another path

Pods of dwellings,
all looking the same;
How can we reconnect with sanity,
if we've succumbed to the game?

BERLIN WALL A Rare Moment

Photo from our friend Petro Makris’ collection in Rafina. Formally a correspondent for the Athens daily Ελευθεροτυπία, he had the opportunity to interact with many personalities over the decades. This particular photo caught my attention; it is in Berlin, in the 1980s, before the wall came down. He managed to get guards from opposing sides (DDR - E Germany, and FRG - W Germany) to pose with him.. His other photos are also very interesting and unique, including a musical notation dedication penned by Manos Hatzithakis..

PASSING TIME

The clock is ticking,
it started at a birth;
One minute of welcoming light,
expanded to seamless vistas
of unforgettable impressions

Each year now a month,
every month a day,
days turning into minutes

What awaits us,
Fate of questionable results,
with which we tamper,
hopefully earning
what remains
in a life of quality
