EIRE

EIRE

Where rays of sunshine
come in form of rain drops
Smiling faces,
Celtic melody of spirit,
engaging in conversation,
open to visitors;

Nature,
even in its unaccommodating rhythm,
has been reined,
energizing human expression

MALBAY MELODY

Lunch in quaint
Irish village

Repast served
with taste of smile

Music, not on menu,
restless fingers had their way,
on ivory palate;
Customer, leaving happy
commenting on "touch of magic"

SEAMUS, SOUL OF SNEEM

Welcoming smile,
Gaelic spirit;
Speaking of wife Kathleen,
with grandson on his side;

Life’s wealth and wisdom,
in family, friends, and experience,
framing his aura,
in
the Greenhouse B&B

BUDAPEST MEMORIES

BUDA AND PEJ, SHINING

Beauty captured on stone,
Roman influence gazing on bathers,
taking on mineral baths;
Confluence of cultures,
subliminal catharsis

Buda, home of many heights,
framing vistas of buildings,
history from any angle.

Each experience,
filling a chapter of our voyage;
Opening our eyes
to the human mosaic,
pebbles and stones.

Sunlight cutting a swath,
through contoured pastels,
where influences from millennia past
find their way to the marketplace,
language and life style.

INSPIRATION

Gentle breeze,
sweeping stress away

Peddlers sharing literature,
couples embracing, kissing,
shutting out the world
as Budapest breathes life

ELYSIAN FIELDS

The warmth of spirit, delightful sounds
ecstasy abounding,
trees blossoming;
rebirth, hope, opening

Anoixi, opening,
Spring, Primavera, Printemps
first truth, Spring

Memories of past
pleasant faces
Family gatherings,
children’s laughter,
dinner with music;
Harmony of elements

A dance of spirit,
the dance of life;
Our nectar, ambrosia,
affirmation with destiny,
dreams you can touch

A fine vintage,
smooth as seashore contours;
waves breaking the silence,
relaxing us more

We drink, soak it in;
reflecting, feeling
the renaissance

UNQUENCHED PALATE

Insatiable thirst,
is it toxins that rule?
We stand idly by,
watching pastels
of grey and white,
pulling back curtains
allowing liquid sustenance
to drench your contours

How long, how long
must this go on?
Suspension of warmth in winter,
so frequently interrupted by random calculus

Mother Earth, you must be worn out,
if we are any indication
perhaps Persephone will return,
and maybe not
