Mixed results,
expectations dampened by reality;
Fair-weather Januses,
relegated to Life’s footnotes

End-result,
crystallization,
friendship embraced by authenticity

from the old, or new?

The foundation is shaky,
exposing the mask,
of the ritual and its shamans

Where substance,
subverted to sickness,
leaves trauma
in the name of profit

Your time was borrowed,
as you basked in the limelight,
yard after yard,
divinity the goal line

You tried to rule the field,
but no more;
Costing your religion and temple,
the price of dishonor and hypocrisy

Nonexistent sidewalks, leaving pedestrian to imagine width and access, with nowhere else to go but to street.

Passers-by walking, some with smile.  Stray dogs and cats (what about the people and culture?)

The neighborhood, beauty from the past, in chaotic present; random expressions of hope, reflected in children and unobstructed view of the blue sea.
